In April 2012, encouraged by the call made by the 35th General Congregation to promote international networking, a group of Jesuits and lay partners from all over the world gathered at Boston College to reflect on this matter. See the webpage of the Conference.

The group reviewed the concept and current experiences of networking, its relationship to the universal mission of the Jesuits, its spiritual foundations and heritage, its organizational and governance mechanisms, and the challenges that it poses to the present structure and way of proceeding.

As a result of this conference a final document was published, titled "International Networking in the Society of Jesus" Challenges from a Universal Mission. It is available in EnglishSpanish and Portuguese. You can also Access to all the documents published after the conference.

After the meeting, the interest generated by the subject of Jesuit networking encouraged some of the organizers to launch a project to promote the reflection on the topic and foster international networking initiatives in the Society of Jesus. These institutions are promoting this project in coordination with the Secretary of Collaboration, in the General Curia (Rome).
